The Veterans Center is a non-profit, community advocacy and homeownership organization. The Veterans Centers primary goal is to support our veterans, their families, and their communities urban and rural areas nationwide. We offer critical programs to the community in the areas of (1) Housing, (2) Workforce Development (3) Education and Advocacy.

The Veterans Center has made the dream of homeownership, fair housing advocacy, workforce development, and community building a reality for thousands of people. Our services involve counseling them honestly and effectively, uplifting each person and every interaction.

History

The Veterans Center was founded in 2008 as a grassroots organization to support our soldiers, veterans and their families after of on the most violent years since start of the war in Afghanistan in 2001 and economic stock market and housing crash of 2008.

Families were seeking opportunities, information and resources and as a grassroots organization our volunteers were about to provide the much-needed support to connect with employment, job training, housing, health care and education.

Therefore transitioning the Veterans Center from a grassroots into a nonprofit organization to included supportive programs. Our agency works diligently to “Empower Communities and Change Lives!”

Today, the Veterans Center focus is preparing the clients workforce for careers in the 21st century and the new economy; homeownership and wealth creation; sustainable communities; and serving as an advocate for fair housing economic development and a voice for the underserved in our communities.
